Do It Wright Home Care provides care directly to the Consumer by providing Direct Care Workers to assist with personal care services, including ADLs and IADL services. Consumers are advised of the Direct Care Worker status-employee or independent contractor status and their responsibilities as it relates to the worker verbally and in writing during Consumer admission.
Procedure
Consumers will be evaluated by a Case Manager. The evaluation will include a review of the Individualized Service Plan provided by the Consumers Support Coordination Agency, which will include doctor’s orders, physical assessment of the Consumer, plan of care, personal non-medical home care activities, and a schedule of days and hours for the Consumer. The Case Manager will then select Direct Care Workers for the Consumer. If the Case Manager does not accept the Consumer, a second evaluation will be given under another Case manager. If the result of the second consumer evaluation is negative, a letter will be sent detailing the reasons for declining the Consumer. For example, if the Agency cannot serve the Consumer because service needs are not in compliance with the applicable sections of the Health Care Facilities Act, the Consumer or responsible party can appeal the decision by contacting the Agency’s Director.
Who Can Be Accepted
Do It Wright Home Care can only accept consumers 18 years and older who are in need of personal care assistance. A consumer can have a variety of diagnoses, but Love and Abundance Home Care is only able to provide non-medical non-skilled personal care services. Do It Wright Home Care may work in contact with skilled home care agencies that are providing the consumers skilled care to provide the non-skilled personal services. Examples of services that are skilled that we are not licensed to provide are but not limited to:
Ventilator services, enteral formulas, IV therapies and/or enteral nutrition, etc.
